I honestly don't think I'm going to be able to remember all of the things that Tony has done during his short little life.
But I have a head full of grey hairs that are a daily reminder not to let my guard down around him! I'll see if I can
remember some of his more memorable moments .......
** We currently have large bells attached to our bathroom door. This is so that we can hear when Tony goes in there.
You'll see why as you read these.
** He had probably just turned 3 years old for this lovely act: I was in the kitchen doing something and the boys were
back in thier rooms playing. Tony came walking out with his hand on his head and a strange look on his face. He kept
saying, "Owww Owww". I glanced closer and he was holding something against his head. As I got over to him I realized
exactly what he had done. There he was .... with Marco's nose-hair clipper stuck to the middle of his head. He had
pressed it against his head and pressed the 'on' button. When he did that, the little blades starting spinning around and
got caught up in his hair. The longer he held it - the tighter it got. I was looking all over the place for scissors (because
there was no other way to get this out) and he just nicely followed me around ..... with this thing hanging from the top of
his head! A little snip - a little bald spot - and it was over.
** He was about 3 1/2 for this one: In the morning the boys were getting a bath and neither one were being very good
while I was washing thier hair. They were both yelled at and told that they needed to start behaving better. Later on I
was in the living room doing something when I realized that I had not heard Tony in a long time (always a scary thing). I
walked back to his room ... no Tony. Looked in Vinny's room and my room ... no Tony. Turned around and saw the
bathroom door was closed. Tried to open it and it was locked. And of course, still no sound from him. I finally found the
key and open the door. There is Tony - totally naked - covered in bubbles - soap all over his hair - and the biggest smile
on his face. He throws his arms up and says, "Ta-da!" He had washed his own hair. I first looked to the tub ... no water.
I then prayed as I looked to the sink that I would see water in it. Nope. And then I saw it. A toilet full of bubble bath
bubbles. He had taken his very first bubble bath all by himself - in the damn toilet! I honestly couldn't yell at him - he
was so proud of himself. But omg - this was disgusting!
** The other morning I knew he had been in the bathroom the night before. I was trying to hurry and get ready for
work, so I really didn't think anything of it when I saw my deodorant, hair spray, and toothbrush out on the sink (he
gets into that stuff all the time). However, as I began brushing my teeth I realized what he had done. He had put my
gel deodorant on my toothbrush like toothpaste. Because it was clear and dried by the morning, I didn't see it ... I did
however taste it!
